Car and Driver instrumented test of a 2020 Stingray with the Z51 package and FE4 magnetorheological dampers, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Results omit a 1-foot rollout of 0.2 seconds. MotorTrend's separate Z51 test also recorded 2.8 seconds. Chevrolet's claimed 2.9 seconds is not ranked. No quarter mile is stored: Car and Driver published 11.2 seconds at 122 mph and MotorTrend published 11.1 seconds at 123.2 mph.

A car is fast when the force pushing it forward still beats the air, and when the tires and the gearing can use that force. A limiter is a different fact from an unlimited run.
Top speed is the balance point: thrust equals aerodynamic drag. The gearing has to still be pulling when the car gets there, or the engine falls off its power.
A manufacturer claim, a magazine test and an electronic governor are not interchangeable. The measurement line says which one this page ranked.
