Fastest Women's 50 m Freestyle in the World (2026)
This list is the women's long-course 50 m freestyle, separate from the men's record. The compiled all-time table, SwimHeats and the world-record progression are the accounts in hand. A World Aquatics record page that prints the women's times without a pending flag was not the document used here, and the qualifiers say so.

23.61s
Kate Douglass's 23.19 in Irvine on 15 August 2026 is on the all-time list and on SwimHeats. A compiled world-record table still marked it as awaiting ratification, so the qualifier is verified rather than official. Gretchen Walsh's 23.55 agrees across those accounts. The all-time table dates the swim 27 June 2026 and SwimHeats prints 28 June. The time is the rank and the day follows the all-time table. Sarah Sjöström's 23.61 in the Fukuoka semifinal on 29 July 2023 is on the progression, the all-time list and SwimHeats, and it is official.
Three swimmers stay below the index gate. Short-course times are not mixed in.
