Fastest Women's 100 m in the World (2026)

These are legal women's outdoor 100 m personal bests, one athlete each, from the World Athletics all-time list. Track & Field News's world all-time list prints the same time and date for every row except the two that carry a note. Florence Griffith-Joyner's 10.49, wind 0.0, in Indianapolis on 16 July 1988, is the World Athletics mark. Track & Field News lists 10.49 as wind-aided and ranks her 10.61 on 17 July 1988 instead. The 2022 Alltime Athletics archive led with 10.49. World Athletics is the authority, so 10.49 is the rank and the dispute is the note.

Elaine Thompson-Herah's 10.54, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce's 10.60, and the marks through Julien Alfred's 10.70 are the next legal personal bests on the World Athletics table. The 2022 archive does not contain the 2025 and 2026 performances. Those rows rest on World Athletics and on Track & Field News, which had verified marks through 3 September 2026 and does print Alfred's 10.70. Marion Jones's 10.65 is marked altitude by Track & Field News and stays because World Athletics lists it.

Ten athletes clear the index gate. A 200 m by the same runner is a different list. Checked 8 October 2026.
