Fastest Men's Marathon in the World (2026)
This list is the men's marathon, a road race, not a track final. World Athletics is the rank. Sabastian Sawe's 1:59:30 and Yomif Kejelcha's 1:59:41 at the London Marathon on 26 April 2026 are on the World Athletics report, the results page and Olympics.com. Sky Sports also prints 1:59:30 for the winner. The times are stored as seconds. Lower is faster.

2:00:35
Jacob Kiplimo's third place is 2:00:28 on the World Athletics report and the results page. Sky Sports printed 2:02.28 for that place. That is a real disagreement, not a rounding. The World Athletics clock is the rank and the Sky figure is the note. Kelvin Kiptum's 2:00:35 at Chicago on 8 October 2023 remains on the all-time list. The London report's gap of 65 seconds from 1:59:30 lands on that Chicago time.
Eliud Kipchoge's 1:59:40 in Vienna in 2019 was an exhibition with rotating pacers. World Athletics does not treat it as eligible, so it is not a row. Four marathoners are short of the index gate.
