Fastest Hits in the World (2026)
This list is the Guinness badminton hit: how fast the shuttle is going the instant after impact, measured with a high-speed camera in a controlled attempt. It is not a rally in a match. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy leads at 565 km/h, also written 351.07 mph, at the Yonex factory gymnasium in Soka on 14 April 2023. Guinness, the Indian Express and the Badminton Museum all print that figure. The racket was a Yonex Nanoflare 1000 Z. The camera shot 40,000 frames a second.

The mark he broke is Tan Boon Heong at 493 km/h in May 2013, also written about 306 mph. The Indian Express, the Badminton Museum and a Japan record certificate print 493 km/h. Only the certificate prints 28 May, so the row has no day. Pearly Tan's women's record is 438 km/h, also 272.16 mph, on the same 14 April 2023 session. Guinness, the Indian Express and the museum agree.
A competition smash, such as a match record Guinness lists separately, is not mixed in. Three rows stay under the index gate.
