How the race works
- 01
True relative speed
Each racer runs at its ranked top speed for the whole distance. Real races include acceleration; this shows how the top speeds compare.
- 02
Time that fits the screen
Close races play in real time. Long ones are sped up evenly. When one racer is more than 12 times faster, the clock accelerates so everyone still finishes on screen.

The same sourced figures
Every speed comes from our rankings, with its qualifier. A claimed top speed races the same as an official one, so check the label.
