Fastest Naked Motorcycles (2026)

Naked bikes keep their own figure. The Tuono, Streetfighter V4 S, Z H2 and Brutale 1000 RS share MCN's 175 mph table. The M 1000 R is BMW's 280 km/h claim. The faired Speed Triple 1200 RR is not on this list.

How we measure

Top speed

One ranked top speed per production motorcycle, in the unit the cited page printed. A manufacturer specification is claimed. A magazine test is verified, and the conditions name the method.

A manufacturer's official specification or press kit is enough for a claimed motorcycle top speed. Cars still need two outlets on that claim.
One test from Cycle World, Motorcyclist, MCN, Bike, Sport Rider or Motorcycle Consumer News is enough for a verified figure. The conditions say GPS, radar, a road-test table, or a specification cell.
When a claim and a test both exist, the claim is the ranked top speed and the test stays in the conditions.
Speedometer videos, one-offs, track-only bikes without a maker figure, and land-speed gearing stay off. Over 300 km/h is not stored as an exact number.

What the labels mean

Official: Ratified by a governing body such as the FIA, World Athletics or Guinness World Records.
Verified: Independently measured and published, for example in a peer-reviewed study or with certified timing.
Claimed: Stated by a manufacturer, owner or publication without independent timing.
Estimated: Calculated or approximated rather than directly timed.
Disputed: Contested by experts or contradicted by other evidence.
