Fastest Roller Coasters in the World (2026)

This list is the top speed an operating roller coaster reaches, as the park prints it and two other accounts repeat. Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi leads. The park, Guinness and Intamin all print 240 km/h. Guinness writes 149.1 mph for that speed and dates the opening 4 November 2010. RCDB lists 149.1 mph as well. Guinness says the launch takes 4.9 seconds. Intamin says 4.5 seconds. The speed is the rank. The seconds are not stored.

Six more operating rides clear the same bar. Top Thrill 2 is Cedar Point's 120 mph, which Coasterpedia writes as 193.1 km/h. Red Force is PortAventura's 180 km/h, RCDB's 111.8 mph. Fury 325 is 95 mph, Millennium Force is 93 mph, and Orion is 91 mph. Leviathan is the park's 148 km/h. Coasterpedia's 148.1 km/h and RCDB's 92 mph are that figure rounded. Each row keeps the park's unit.

RCDB also lists Falcon's Flight at 155.3 mph. Guinness's fastest-rollercoaster page still names Formula Rossa at 240 km/h, so that newer claim is not ranked. Kingda Ka is closed. Steel Dragon 2000's park page prints 153 km/h without a third account. Seven rows stay under the index gate.
